Acne has made a number of new additions to its SS14 line. Fourteen previously unseen items have been released today, featuring a floral design and muted tones. The mid-season drop incorporates mustard, red and black into shirts, shorts, trousers, knitwear and outerwear. A single footwear silhouette also appears with the classic Adrian sneaker. Cardigans within the collection target transitional wardrobes, while workwear-inspired button-downs are aimed at other ongoing menswear trends. The full spring/summer collection, released earlier in the year, contained a collaboration with fellow Swede Hilma af Klint. Acne carried interpretations of the artist’s work, such as The Swan abstract oil painting, on basics like sweatshirts. Other pieces included metallics, criss-crossed flip-flops, and ombre roll necks. The Stockholm-based brand’s lines continue to be developed under 1996 founder and original creative director, Jonny Johansson. Acne currently has three UK stores in London, expanding 200 per cent since 2010. In addition, the global firm is stocked at the likes of Liberty, Harvey Nichols and MatchesFashion. Prices for the new arrivals range from ÂŁ65 for the neo jersey and ÂŁ190 for printed shirts, to ÂŁ280 for the printed trainers. The capsule line can be found online now at acnestudios.com.
