Inspiration sourced from Japan is behind adidas’ new clothing collection. The German sportswear giant teamed up with designers Kazuki Kuraishi and Shigeki Fujishiro to pull together its new 84-LAB line.
Jackets and shorts form part of the spring/summer 2014 range, which also contains a number of key footwear styles.
The ZX 500 Trail trainers feature a mix of navy and white polka dots alongside a chunky off-white midsole and black outsole. Meanwhile, a hunting-inspired combination of brown and orange has been applied to the upper of the Tech Super 2.0 shoes. The CNTR Weld style has a black upper and on trend white polka dot detailing.
Other pairs include the Prez RLV, which draws influence from the era of Stan Smith and Rod Laver, both legendary tennis players. There are also two court-inspired Matchplay kicks in black and forest green colour ways.
One of the highlights of the collection is a blue polka dot jacket, priced at £470.
Kuraishi, who contributed to designer Mark McNairy’s first Three Stripes range for adidas, re-joined Fujhishiro for a third time to work with the company.
The trademark three-striped jacket costs £95, the shorts are £75, the jumpers come in at around £70, while the trainers top off at £120.
