A.D.S.R. x Mark Gonzales
Music-inspired eyewear brand A.D.S.R. has teamed up with skateboarder-turned-artist Mark Gonzales. The Tokyo-based firm, whose initials stand for ‘Attack’, ‘Delay’, ‘Sustain’, and Release’ worked alongside the sporting star to produce two pairs of special edition sunglasses.
The shades’ arms are where the now-designers touch can be found. Gonzales’ signature features on the exterior, while the inside carries eye-catching graphics, which aim to inject colour into the accessories.
Known worldwide as a pioneer of modern street skateboarding, the adidas sponsee has since turned his talents to art and fashion. The 45-year-old is already making a strong name for himself and is no stranger to collaborations, having produced a collection with UXA in the past.
A.D.S.R., which is stocked in the UK by ASOS and Farfetch, has always placed a strong focus on its connection to music. The brand believes playing with materials does not have to impact on classic design. This means A.D.S.R.’s sunglasses are all heavily influenced by established shapes but feature an edgy and refreshing twist.
