New York Fashion Week Looks Make Ad Debut
AllSaints has released images of its latest menswear campaign, featuring the AW14 collection first shown as part of New York Fashion Week in February. Five black and white photographs make up the editorial, showing a tattooed model in an urban city setting. The AW14 range is made up of staples including t-shirts, slim-fit denim, shirts, jackets and heavier coats. Almost all items appear in the brand’s signature dark colour palette. Inspiration for the new season came from AllSaints’ east London base, referencing ripped street posters found on the streets. The brand’s creative director, Wil Beedle, described the approach: “Old ones [posters] get ripped; new ones replace them. It’s like a multi-layered, living and breathing artwork.” The wear and tear of posters and street art in the area influences menswear pieces that have been pulled away to reveal multiple layers. At the high end is the Bryning Jacket, priced at £358. The charcoal biker is made from fine kid suede and has gone through heavy washing processes to achieve a vintage look. Prices start at £40 for basic t-shirts and &pond;88 for jeans, with coats and leather jackets reaching around £300. Select AW14 pieces are available in AllSaints stores and online now, with further drops excepted in the coming weeks.
