Online Retailer Plans Style Tutorial Clips
ASOS is to begin releasing a series of how-to videos for its shoppers, the brand’s menswear editor has revealed. Weekly clips will offer customers style and grooming advice and act as an “ongoing source of inspiration.” FashionBeans spoke to menswear editor, Alistair Mulhall, who said: “The how-to styling videos are simple, fun and helpful way for our customers to take their look to the next level.” “We aim to give honest and relevant advice in an accessible way,” he added. Every week the online retailer will upload a new video via its Youtube channel. Each short will look at different scenarios and giving insider style advice. Guides will include the correct way to fold a pocket square, how to wear a tuxedo and tips on smartening up hair. The choice to include both smart and casualwear will allow the firm to showcase a wide range of products from brands such as Fred Perry, Selected Homme and New Balance. Featured in each video will be a recognisable ASOS model, including British born Charlie Winzar who has also worked for the likes of FHM and The Evening Standard.
