Swedish Bag Firm Partners With Designer

Swedish accessories export Baron has teamed up with a well-known designer to create a line of business and travel pieces. The resulting collection from Rasmus Wingardh, recognised in the Scandinavian country for his work with fashion brand Filippa K, is targeted at the urban businessman. Wingardh told FashionBeans: “I was really thrilled when [Baron owner] Jan Carl first contacted me, I understood him right away when he explained the brand and how he wanted to develop the Baron collection.” “With regards to The Computer Tote, it is a more modern complement to Baron’s range of classic briefcases,” he added. The full range, due to launch next month, includes weekend and duffel bag styles already offered by the firm, with upgraded design features. Canvas/leather mix bags using the Baron green canvas fabric complement full leather models. Brothers Jan Carl and Gustaf Adelsward own baron. Managing Director Carl said: “Rasmus and I started working together when I worked as CEO and he worked as Head of Men’s design at Filippa K.” “Rasmus has that rare talent to develop products that both feels like classic pieces but still with a nerve that makes it interesting and dynamic.” The shoulder bags start from £199, the weekend and duffel bags from £235, and the computer totes and briefcases from £239. All the items will be sold at London store William Evans Ltd, as well as online at Baron.se.
