New Collection As Versace Accessories Boss Joins
Italian shoe brand Carlo Pazolini has released its AW14 lookbook, in the same week bosses confirmed the poaching of Versace’s Head of License Accessories. The premium retailer has drawn on a rock aesthetic for the new season with a range of boots and shoes featuring details such as buckles, zips and industrial soles. Alongside footwear, which is separated into dress, casual weekend styles and trend led pieces, Carlo Pazolini also produces bags. Leather rucksacks, laptop cases and weekend bags are included in the latest line, due for release this month. The AW14 collection is the first to be sold under newly appointed creative director Lee Wood, though the first to be designed under the former Versace accessories head won’t roll out until SS15. On joining the firm, the Berkshire College of Art & Design graduate spoke of the “big task” ahead, describing the challenge to grow the brand as “very exciting.” Recently stores have opened in America and China. However, Wood hinted at potential expansion in European markets. Carlo Pazolini currently operates over 200 outlets worldwide across Russia, Italy, the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as in countries throughout Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. UK stores include three in London; one in each Westfield shopping centre and another in Knightsbridge. The AW14 collection is scheduled to drop later in August. Price points are set to start at £140, ranging up to £350 depending on the style.
