Collection Inspired By The Sky

Christian Lacroix has unveiled its spring/summer 2015 lookbook, as the brand readies to launch an accompanying shoe and trainer line. The French label’s latest collection showcases a clean-cut, relaxed collection inspired by the sky. Designers have mixed natural prints, such as butterflies and leaves, with various shades of deep and sky blue. The blend of fabrics – including wool and mohair on suits, and linen and cotton on sports jackets – delivers a light, casual feel. Along with clothing, Christian Lacroix is also launching a shoe and trainer line. The range, for which price points and stockists are to be revealed later in the year, will feature colourful and graphic printed styles. The collection comes from creative director Sacha Walckhoff, who took over the label after it fell victim to recession and closed in 2009. Walckhoff, who worked as Christian Lacroix’s assistant for 17 years, started the relaunch with home textiles, stationery and menswear in 2012. The spring/summer 2015 collection will be available later this year.
