Club Moncaco’s First UK Menswear Store
Club Monaco is looking forward to opening its first menswear store in London, the firm’s Vice President of Men’s Design has said. The North American label has confirmed it will be a permanent fixture in Shoreditch as of August. Currently the brand only has a women’s boutique in the capital, located in Westbourne Grove. The new store, on Redchurch Street, is to join the likes of Hostem, Sunspel and A.P.C in setting up shop in on the fashion strip. Around 1,200 square feet of retail space will occupy the former premises of historic Gun & Rifle Manufacturers Watsons Bros. Two architectural sketches have been released, giving an idea of what the location will look like, showing the main entrance and a split level mezzanine area. Aaron Levine, Vice President of Men’s Design, said: “East London has a unique, vibrant culture and style, and Club Monaco menswear is excited to become a part of it.” He went on to add the store will give offer the Club Monaco customer “his ‘go to’ pieces, while simultaneously mixing in a few new, unexpected elements to complement these things”. Founded in Canada in 1985, the brand has become known for its strong menswear line. The label now has its headquarters in New York City and operates at 140 points of distribution worldwide. Other flagships appear in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Seoul and Beijing, with London to be added. An official opening date for August is yet to be announced.
