Supreme Revisits Ties with Comme des Garçons

American and Japanese fashion has come together once again, with streetwear pillar Supreme teaming up with Comme des Garçons. For the latest installation of the partnership, the two brands have worked on baseball jackets, shirts, hoodies, t-shirts and trainers. The line, which also incorporates accessories including wallets and caps, has been designed with the team behind Comme des Garçons’ SHIRT sub-line. The division’s input is evident in the use of polka dots and pinstripes on the mostly reversible items. Shirt and cap styles use the dotted print and stripes in red and black, while the button-up benefits from a mandarin collar. Other highlights include a printed graphic t-shirt and jacket featuring legendary New York skateboarder Harold Hunter. The range has also called in footwear label Vans to produce two new shoe styles. The low top Era and the Sk8-Hi both mirror the approach of the clothing. A spokeswoman for Comme des Garçons told FashionBeans that the collection is on sale now at Dover Street Market in London as well as online, but is selling fast. The offering is also being sold out of Supreme’s store in the capital and via its webshop, with shirts priced at £238. Shoppers looking for the Vans trainers or New Era caps will have to wait until they are up for grabs in June.
