First Ever Footwear And Apparel Collection To Drop This Month

Converse has used its ties with Cons ambassador and skater Pontus Alv to release its first ever collaboration with Swedish skateboard label Polar Skate Co. Alv, who founded Polar in 2010, has designed a seven-piece range for the American firm comprising hi- and low-top trainers as well as graphic t-shirts. The dual branded footwear features premium abrasion-resistant suede uppers in black, natural and navy with white midsoles and toecaps. Other design elements include leather heel strips finished with happy/sad faces, also found on the inner tongue labels. Performance is covered by a moulded, multi-density Lunarlon sockliner, traction rubber vulcanised outsoles and waxed laces. The collection’s four t-shirts, split across crew necks in white and heather grey and collared cuts in black and white, feature back and full-body prints. Alv (34), spoke of wanting to create pieces his crew would want to wear: “We’ve wanted to create a super-clean Chuck Taylor Pro in suede right from the beginning of working together. They skate really well, they look great and they last.” The Converse Cons x Polar Skate Co. collection will launch in Europe first on 26th September before a global release the following week. Prices from UK stockists, which includes Flatspot, Slam and Consortium, start from £65 for footwear.
