Photography Line Highlights Environmental Issues

British photographer Dan Holdsworth has lent his landscape shots to fashion for AW14, with French-Italian brand Moncler featuring the artist’s imagery on a selection outerwear. The monochrome collection, which comprises down-filled jackets, snow pants, boots and bags, features a mountain captured by the award-winning artist in Iceland. Followers of the Barbican and Tate-featured photographer will recognised the pictures from his 2010 exhibition, Blackout. The repeated image aims to highlight “the shrinking of glaciers”. Key pieces in the collaborative range include the hooded Gouter jacket, padded with real down and feathers, and the Nieges jacket, a pullover style made from a full nylon shell. Founded in 1952, Moncler has previously worked with music star Pharrell Williams on a limited edition range of its Lunettes eyewear collection. Meanwhile, 40-year-old Holdsworth has produced imagery for brands such as luxury watchmakers Audemars Piguet. The Dan Holdsworth x Moncler Blackout collection is available to buy now at End Clothing and Flannels, in addition to Moncler flagship stores. Prices start at £439 for snow pants, reaching £1,125 for the Bryce and Gouter jackets.
