British brand Duck and Cover has gone into hashtag overdrive with the launch of its SS14 collection. The lifestyle label has followed up its recent use of #ReadyForSpring/Summer and #ReadyForDenim by adopting #ReadyForAnything as the tagline for the latest range. The collection itself features a mix of lightweight outerwear and casual basics, with striking prints and camouflage designs injecting a bolder touch. Nautical references have made a return for the sunnier season, with striped t-shirts in crisp blue/white blocks, pinstripe shirts and thinner gauge jackets looking to capture the man at sea look. Humour is also present, with a series of four pun t-shirts on offer, each carrying an effective play on the brand’s name. Founded in 1996, Duck and Cover has aimed to build a reputation on delivering youth-driven, versatile pieces that remain fashionable yet not entirely trend-led. With the most recent campaign’s ethos in mind, ‘Ready For Anything’ sees the label work in collaboration with RWD Magazine to seek out and support “emerging young British talent who, through their work and attitude, eschew the #readyforanything spirit.” The brand is yet to provide a release date for the collection, labelling it as ‘coming soon’ on their blog. However, previous collections are still available at House Of Fraser, USC and Duck and Cover’s online store.
