Skateboarding clothing and lifestyle brand Element has continued its long-running partnership with Los Angeles artist Chad Eaton, creating a joint collection of selvedge denim pieces for AW14.
The pair, who first starting working together eight years ago, has produced a work shirt, coverall jacket, work jacket and jeans.
Eaton, who works under the name Timber!, has also lent his signature characters to the project such as a Native American chief, lumberjacks and raccoons. These feature on additional products including fleeces, t-shirts, hoodies, accessories and skateboards. Speaking about the drawings, which took the screen printer over 400 hours to complete, Eaton said:
“The garments were inspired by the saloon bar I drew for the collection, where I expressed the workmen’s bond, the bond between people drinking together.”
Earlier in the year Element announced plans to open its first ever standalone store in the UK in central London. The space, currently under construction until December, will be split across three floors and will house clothing, accessories, footwear and skateboards.
Eaton revealed his follow-up drawings will continue the themes from this project, however no official confirmation has been given as to whether Element will be involved.
The Element x Timber! collection is available to buy now via Element’s transactional website. Prices start from €30 (ÂŁ24) for t-shirts, €35 (ÂŁ27) for accessories and €75 (ÂŁ59) for footwear.
