Eyewear Brand Prepares High Street Range
Topman is getting ready to take stock of a new collection from Eye Respect this week.
The three-piece line, created exclusively for the high street brand, will be housed in the Oxford Street flagship store from tomorrow.
A classic wayfarer and two panto silhouettes have each been named after a member of the Topman or Eye Respect team.
Steven, one of the panto styles, is Steven Faust, Eye Respect’s sales manager. The other is Gordon, named after Topman’s well known creative director, Gordon Richardson.
Julia Fearnley, head buyer at the menswear chain, gave her name to the Jules model.
The hand-crafted frames stretch across clear, black and tortoiseshell, using five barrel hinges and lenses with a filter category three rating.
Faust told FashionBeans: “Julia Fearnley and I wanted to combine our made in the UK craftsmanship with unique customisation and personalisation. We got really excited about the collaboration and the concept evolved.”
Earlier in May, the optical and sunglasses firm announced a partnership with the Isle Of Wight Festival as the official eyewear brand of the event. The news came shortly after opening its month-long sunglass bar in The Shop at Bluebird.
In June, Eye Respect will provide collections for Topman Design, Oliver Spencer and A.Sauvage shows at London Collections: Men, which kicks off on the 17th.
The Eye Respect for Topman collection will be available in stores from tomorrow. Prices start at £35 for the Jules style, going up to £90 for both the Steven and Gordon models.
