Scottish actor Gerard Butler is taking on a new role as brand ambassador for Hugo Boss. The 44-year-old will front ads for the German label’s Boss Bottled fragrance, following on from the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Jenson Button and Chow Yun-Fat. Butler, who was previously connected to L’Oreal Men Expert, will make his debut as the face of an aftershave both in print and on TV later this year. Boss Parfums’ global marketing director, Guillaume Tardy, said the scent “remains loyal to the belief that success comes to the man who grasps life with confidence”. Attributing those qualities to the 300 star, he added: “His road to success is a constant, ever-evolving journey, but one that he approaches with confidence and drive”. Boss Bottled debuted in 1998. It features top notes of apple, bergamot and cinnamon, a heart of tagete, geranium and clove, on a base of cedarwood, sandalwood, vetiver and olivewood. The family of products has since expanded to include variants such as Boss Bottled Night and Boss Bottled Sport. Boss Bottled is currently available, with prices starting at around £32.00 for a 30ml eau de toilette spray, going up to £66.00 for a 200ml version.
