Mango Reveals AW14 Campaign Faces

Bosses at the menswear arm of fashion retailer Mango took the search for campaign faces international for autumn/winter 2014. H.E. by Mango unveiled Dutch model Mark Vanderloo and French face Clement Chabernaud as the stars this week, as part of a campaign shot by Daniel Riera in the brand’s founding city of Barcelona. The duo can be seen wearing pieces from the autumn/winter 2014 collection, which is based around a palette of grey, black, khaki and crimson. Inspired by rock ‘n’ roll, the range features textured bomber jackets, army parkas, cropped trousers and clean-cut denim. Behind-the-scenes shots show Vanderloo and Chabernaud in both tailoring and layered daytime looks, in varying blue tones paired with neutral basics. The brand has confirmed that the arrival of full campaign shots will happen next month. Vanderloo has modelled for the likes of Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein and Valentino in the past, while Chabernaud is known for his work with H&M, Zara and Gucci. Founded as a womenswear line in 1984, Spanish brand Mango added its H.E. line in 2008. Despite many think it represents the line’s gender, H.E. is an acronym for the Latin expression ‘Homini Emerito’, which refers to “a man who enjoys his rewards in keeping with his merits”. The H.E. by Mango autumn/winter 2014 collection will available in stores and online from August 10th. Prices start from £9.99 for socks and underwear, ranging up to £199 for leather pieces and suits.
