Hype x ASOS Exclusive Monotone Collection
Streetwear brand Hype has been stripped of its signature prints in a black and white collection exclusive to online retailer ASOS.
The label, which was set up by two friends in 2011, is renowned for its attention-grabbing patterns. However, teaming with the global site, designers behind the Monotone range have delivered a minimal collection of t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats.
Despite a departure from its usual designs, the 18-piece range maintains Hype’s recognisable branding along with variations including an Arabic-inspired logo.
A short film released as part of the project accompanies the line, shot with an equally dark theme.
Hype has shot to success its short three years of trading. The firm can now be found in the likes of Topman, Bank, River Island and Sole Trader, as well as at the Hype store in Boxpark in London’s Shoreditch.
ASOS already stocks a number of exclusives from the brand, including a brighter cloud print range.
Prices for the Monotone collection start at £25 for t-shirts, going up to £40 for sweatshirts. The collection is available now exclusively at ASOS.com.
As part of the joint venture, the full range will also be showcased and available to buy at a launch party due to be held at the Hype store on April 10th. The first 100 visitors to the event, which will run between 6pm – 9pm, will receive a limited edition beanie.
