Serial collaborators J.Crew and New Balance have come together once again for the launch of the 998 Concrete Jungle trainer. The US apparel brand has produced a new take on the footwear company’s 998 style, featuring a deconstructed camouflage colour way. Shades of green have been used on the body alongside an orange lining, all of which sits on top of an Abzorb sole. Inspired by the sights and sounds of a night out in the city, the shoe isn’t the first time that the brands have teamed up on the 998 style. For Independence Day earlier this year, the pair released an option with a red, white and blue body and back in 2010 they released the Inferno version. The Independence Day style reportedly sold out on J.Crew’s website. This latest version will be produced in a limited edition run, following the pattern of the other collaborations, with each carrying a made in the US label. The J.Crew x New Balance 998 Concrete Jungle trainer is available to buy now, priced at £170, at J.Crew’s Lambs Conduit store and online.
