Marshall Artist Autumn/Winter 2014
Marshall Artist has embarked on an exploration of modern British tailoring with its new collection.
The autumn/winter offering from the international brand is taking a unique approach, using fabrics such as compact cotton polyamide which, when over-dyed at heat, shrinks to create a worn-in look.
Silhouettes on show range from British classics to progressive shaped outerwear. Stand-out pieces stretch from the Cold Weather Compact Parker with removable thermal insulated lining, to the Dura-wax Nylon RAF Jacket with intense colour and finish.
Other fabrics put to work by Marshall Artist include a hydrophilic breathable lamination membrane for lightweight protection from the British weather, as well as premium Melton wool and brushed cotton twill.
However, the range is not limited to outerwear. Smart shirts such as the classic Oxford provide a contrast to its more casual cousin, the M-90 Camo.
With a colour palette spanning charcoal and claret to sky blue and burnt orange, this collection aims to offer competitive pricing and practical, wearable pieces.
Co-owner Neil Maloney was appointed as creative director in 2008. With fifteen years experience working for clients such as Levi’s, Nike, adidas and Polo Ralph Lauren, he attempts to bring his love of British casual style to every collection.
“Our brand philosophy and core values have always been the same: To produce socially relevant menswear that is ultra wearable while showcasing our British roots,” said Neil.
Founded in East London in 2001, Marshall Artist has been spotted on the backs of Jude Law, David Beckham and the Gallagher brothers. The new line can be found in stores throughout the UK and online at MarshallArtist.co.uk.
