Massimo Dutti SS14 Campaign
One of the world’s most famous fashion photographers is behind the lens of Massimo Dutti’s latest campaign. Mario Testino was tapped up by the Spanish brand to shoot its spring/summer 2014 advertising imagery. Dutti, which houses nine lines in total and has been featured in FashionBeans’ ‘5 Spanish Brands You Should Know’ feature, has an ongoing relationship with the Peruvian photographer. Along with his work in Vogue and Vanity Fair, Testino has been responsible for numerous campaigns for the brand, including its current AW13 collection. Under the art direction of fellow Spanish duo Hunter & Gatti, the SS14 campaign shows both menswear and womenswear side by side. Models Edita Vilkeviciute, Toni Garrn, David Genat and Shaun De Wet can be seen soaking up the sun while showcasing the looks available. The menswear line offers casual yet elegant pieces in seasonally-appropriate fabrics, such as lightweight cottons. Blue is the dominant colour, which is combined with white, sand and grey for casual pieces, with warmer jewel tones found in blazers and accessories. The two-button raime/cotton mix blazer is one of the stand-out garments. Coming in a bold salmon pink, it features a classic collar along with four patch pockets, four cuff buttons and a double rear opening. The blazer is finished with a leather pin hosting the brand crest, three inside pockets and an inner lining. Massimo Dutti belongs to the Inditex group, a Spanish multinational clothing company who also own high street store
