MR PORTER x J.W. Anderson
J.W. Anderson has teamed up with MR PORTER on an exclusive eight-piece capsule collection. The premium e-tailer unveiled the offering, which includes re-interpretations of Anderson’s best-known designs, for the first time yesterday. Classic tailored pieces appeared on site alongside a stand-out denim biker jacket with quilted sleeves. In keeping with the 29-year-old’s androgynous signature aesthetic, the collection’s denim pleated shorts have the silhouette of a skirt. More wearable pieces include a creased finish shirt, wool-flannel trousers, a floral stitch jumper, a classic Oxford shirt and an abstract t-shirt. The famous ‘J.W.’ anchor logo is found on a knitted crew-neck jumper. Since the inception of his eponymous label in 2008, Northern Irish designer Anderson has made headlines with his gender-blurring catwalk shows. The London College of Fashion graduate notably designed a capsule collection for Versace’s diffusion line, Versus, after the brand’s hiatus came to an end last year. Anderson is now also the creative director of Spanish luxury brand Loewe, recently listed as one of FashionBeans ‘5 Spanish Brand You Should Know’. Produced exclusively for the luxury menswear brand, the capsule collection by J.W Anderson is available now from the MR PORTER website. Items in the collection range from £190 for the marine sweater to £750 for the denim biker jacket.
