Nike Release Two New Air Max Trainers

Sportswear giant Nike is fusing the iconic Air Max design with top notch running technology for the launch of two new styles.

Originally released in 1987, the first line of Nike Air Max trainers became an instant classic, identifiable by its signature visible bubble sole.

Now the brand, famous for its swoosh, has called on designers to create the most advanced Air Max on the market.

NIKE FLYKNIT AIR MAX

For the first time, the brand has paired the innovative Nike Flyknit technology with the ultra-cushioned Air Max sole.

The American firm first created the Flyknit design after feedback from professional runners and athletes, who wanted a shoe that offered the snug and secure fit of a sock for stability and comfort. A team of programmers, engineers and designers worked four years to come up with the technology that has already featured on previous Nike products, including the Lunar1+.

The shoe is made from a single layer construction using polyester yarn, which provides breathability, stretch and support.

Priced at £180, they come in a single color way: a black base with orange/yellow neon highlights and bubble sole. The bright colors give the shoes an added safety feature while the reflective elements make the wearer visible during both late night and early morning runs:

The second new design available is the Nike Air Max 2014. Unlike the Flyknit version, it offers a more traditional fit.

The designers have incorporated a waffle-like bubble sole for even weight distribution and enhanced traction. The main body of the shoe is made from a mesh material, offering ventilation and support. A lightweight perforated foam layer conforms to the shape of your foot for fit and comfort.

Priced at £130, the Nike Air Max 2014 comes in six color ways including a tri-color black, red, and orange design:
