Puma is taking a walk on the wild side with the release of its latest Wilderness trainer pack, the second in collaboration with sports retailer Size?. The Amazonian updates of the giant’s Blaze of Glory and Disc Blaze models feature new green, brown and white colour ways inspired by trees, branches and bark, as well as hard wearing materials designed to endure harsh terrains and weather. Puma’s Blaze of Glory Jungle trainer, priced at £90, uses a three-part upper. A mesh base for breathability sits below a secondary suede layer to mimic moss and a final rubberised waterproof leather. A pink heel wrap references land and water animals which deploy bright colours as a warning to predators. The Disc Blaze Mountain, built around the brand’s unique clickable closure system, is constructed using a white heavy waxed canvas upper and plastic cage unit. Both models carry green and silver 3M reflective tabs and speckled mid-soles as a nod to plants, flowers and conditions found within the rainforest. It follows on from part one of the project which saw the release of two new 698 and XS850 trainers – both taken from 90s Trinomic range – inspired by the Sahara. Part two of the Puma x Size? Wilderness Pack is available to buy online and in Size? stores now in UK sizes 6-12, with half sizes between 7-10.
