Emerging menswear brand Scott Fraser Collection has released a range of reversible campus jackets for AW14. The preppy three-piece collection comprises a total of six available colour ways including ochre velvet/denim; navy velvet/indigo denim; and red velvet/red and camel checked Melton wool. Details include ribbed cuffs, hem, pockets and rounded collar as well as double-sided Riri zips. Founder Scott Simpson says his work is intended as a “a mark of respect” to timeless icons of design. When asked about the reversible jackets, the former model told FashionBeans: “The jacket is inspired by the Ivy League colleges of the 1950s. I designed it so that the different sides could be worn in different settings — flip it out to the short pile velvet for a more formal occasions, or denim/Melton wool for day to day.” Despite only operating since 2013, other Scott Fraser Collection pieces including clothing, accessories and bags, have been picked up by UK brick and motar stockists Bolt and O’Dells. The reversible campus jackets, priced at £279, are made to order with a production time of two weeks and are available to buy online now.
