Selected Homme Express Collections
High street stores have taken stock of three ‘express’ collections from international menswear brand Selected Homme.
Topman, Urban Outfitters and John Lewis all house the mini-lines, which range in inspiration from Manhattan’s jazz scene to the streets of Brooklyn.
The 1920s Manhattan & Jazz Age collection primarily features tailored separates and shirts. The looks have been designed as a contemporary reinterpretation of the period’s decadence.
Light in colour, the pieces focus on summer wear, while retaining a classic approach. Double-breasted blazers, white chinos and embroidered loafers hark back to eras traditional gentlemanly attire.
The Blacktop Lower Eastside range contains looser, more relaxed shapes. Constructed in an exclusive black and white palette, the line-up has been inspired by the traditional basketball silhouettes of Brooklyn and is driven by the recent trend for oversizing.
Finally, the Blueprint collection makes the most of the indigo shades currently being highlighted as a key trend in menswear. With a focus on tops, washed textures and over-dyed fabrics deliver an experimental take on popular all-over prints.
Selected Homme, which began in 1997, now has more than 30 brand shops and is sold by 1,300 dealers in 25 countries worldwide.
The three express collections are available now. Prices start from £20, with leather jackets at the top end retailing for £200.
