Bag And Accessories Brand Reveals Debut Store
Irish accessories brand Stighlorgan has opened its first permanent standalone store in Dalston, London.
The debut unit stocks the full range of backpacks, bags and accessories as well as products from third party names such as Bee, Elvine, Percival, Pistard and Waven.
Designed by the brand’s creative director, Christian Bourke, the minimal space is inspired by New York’s subway system. It is lined with long, folded aluminium benches, horizontal mirrors, vertical poles, exposed steel ceiling girders and angled fluorescent lighting.
Stighlorgan’s AW14 collection takes inspiration from poet and collaborator Davin Gaffney. Materials include a bespoke granite-inspired camo fabric and a new mix of coated and uncoated canvases. Colour ways comprise olive green, rust orange, navy blue, and black, aimed at reflecting Ireland’s seas, cliffs, forests and rivers.
On the opening, Bourke said: “While most retail stores are led by apparel, the SLG Store is led by our accessories collections; the selection of menswear we stock supports the seasonal themes, which keep changing with each collection.”
Stighlorgan bags are available now in store and online. Prices start from £59 for totes, £75 for backpacks and £85 for messengers.
