British Outerwear Label Gets Streetwear Makeover
American streetwear brand Stussy has taken on a great British classic in its latest collaboration with an unlikely team mate: Baracuta. The iconic G9 Harrington jacket, created by the British outerwear label back in the 1930s, has been re-imagined in a deep green and navy Black Watch tartan, along with a nineties-style bucket hat in a coordinating print. Made in England at Baracuta’s original factory, the jacket features solid block-colour sleeves, a double button fastening collar and ribbed waist and cuffs. Stussy’s signature streetwear aesthetic shines through in the accompanying bucket hat – an on-trend silhouette that first rose to prominence in the eighties and nineties. The Stussy x Baracuta collection is available now at Stussy Chapter stores and online, priced at £65 for the hat and £385 for the jacket.
