Fashion Retailer To Reissue Jil Sander Favourites
Uniqlo and Jil Sander have announced plans to revive popular designs from the pair’s +J collection despite ending the long-running collaboration three years ago.
The ‘Best Of’ range, set for release this month, will feature favourites from past collections produced by the Japanese retailer and the German fashion designer.
The men’s arm features 27 pieces selected from across five seasons, including shirts, tailoring, outerwear and knitwear.
Fabrics used in the original collections, such as wool for outwear, cotton for shirts and premium down for padded jackets, also make a reappearance.
Bosses at the chain described the collections it produced with Sander as some of its most successful of all time.
The pair first worked together in AW09, when the designer was appointed creative director of both men’s and womenswear. The project continued until AW11, when Sander left the company. The Best of +J collection will launch on 23rd September at 9am on Uniqlo’s webstore, before debuting at 6pm at the brand’s flagship Oxford Street store to coincide with Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out.
Prices start from £109.90 for outwear, £39.90 for shirts and £49.90 for knitwear and trousers.
