Aquascutum Revives Its Made-To-Measure Service

First announced in November of last year, British heritage label Aquascutum’s made-to-measure tailoring service has returned to its stores. Available at the brand’s Great Marlborough Street and Jermyn Street outlets, this is the first time customers have been able to have a suit custom made since the closure of its Regent Street store back in 2011. Four years later, Aquascutum is now offering the service on its jackets (sizes 36″ to 50″) and trousers (28″ to 46″), with dedicated in-store tailors on hand to guide and inform your choices. The whole suit-making and delivery process takes around six weeks, with any further alterations coming free of charge. The reintroduction of the service comes as part of a wider expansion plan for the label, which was saved from administration in 2012, kick-started by the opening of three new London stores over the past two years. Prices for two-piece suits start at a reasonable £750, with three-pieces starting at £900.
