In celebration of Converse’s ‘Made By You’ campaign, Urban Outfitters has partnered with the American brand to launch an exclusive range of T-shirts.
Featuring portraits of the brand’s classic Chuck Taylor All Star shoe – customised and worn by real fans worldwide – the T-shirts showcase Converse’s ever-growing popularity amongst creative types and renewed interest across the generations.
Embracing pairs decorated with pens or worn to the point of breaking, the line celebrates the different ways in which fans wear and use their ‘Chucks’ – a silhouette that is set to celebrate its 100th birthday in 2017.
Converse first launched its Made By You campaign in March of this year, showcasing how the shoe has been customised by famous admirers such as Andy Warhol, Patti Smith and Jefferson Hack, via a range of minimalist images.
These portraits are set to be presented on walls around the world – including London, New York, Mexico City and Beijing – turning streets and communities into make-shift art galleries.
