Luxury eyewear label Cutler and Gross has looked to an unusual point of reference for inspiration this season – the circus.
The aptly named ‘Circus Collection’ embraces classic shows and performers from the golden age of the forties, introducing striking prints and vibrant colour ways for its nostalgic new line.
Across optical eyewear and sunglasses, we’re treated to a range of novel and standout designs, including oversized sunglasses ‘The Showgirl’, hailed by the brand as “the life and soul of the collection”.
Other highlights include ‘The Ringmaster’ sunglasses, crafted with a fine acetate frame and cylindrical arms, ‘The Big Top’ optical glasses, complete with rose gold metal temples and coloured tips, and ‘The Acrobat’ optical frames, made from translucent acetate and finished in vintage hues of brown and black.
Captured by veteran Cutler and Gross photographer Platon, the new collection points to a more playful, yet ever sophisticated, side of the Knightsbridge-based optical brand.
The Cutler and Gross Circus collection is available now at cutlerandgross.com, with prices ranging from £295 to £495.
