New York-based hat brand New Era has looked east for its latest collaboration, teaming up with Japanese label Evisu on a range of eye-catching caps.
Sticking to New Era’s signature flat peak silhouette, the three-piece line incorporates the “calligraphy-heavy” aesthetic of Evisu’s spring/summer 2015 collection into a bold line of urban-inspired headwear.
Monochrome branding leads the range, with one design splashing Evisu’s strong typography across its front, while another takes a similar approach, switching the label’s moniker for the term ‘Mighty’.
While both stick to a black and white palette, the latter swaps out a plain backdrop for a scribbled handwriting effect, matching the print seen across Evisu’s new season line.
A more colourful blue camouflage-printed option rounds out the collection, incorporating splashes of yellow, blue and black, coming complete with New Era’s signature foil sticker to the peak.
Evisu joins a long line of collaborative partners for New Era, with the international headwear brand teaming up with the likes of Kenzo, Liberty London, Opening Ceremony and Star Wars over the past few months.
