The luxury trainer market is constantly being topped up with new styles, so it can sometimes be hard to keep up. From exclusive designer collaborations to fresh concepts, there’s never been quite so much choice when it comes to selecting a pair of new sneakers.

But when it comes to investing in a decent pair, where do you start?

To help you navigate through the somewhat overcrowded world of trainers, we’ve rounded up the hottest and most coveted new releases below.

Ellesse Heritage Anzia

Back from its late nineties slumber, Ellesse brings us a clean update on its classic Anzia model.

The smart tennis shoe comes with original features and branding for an authentic feel, with the all-white iteration giving us serious minimalist vibes.

Wear with slim black jeans for a strong contrast.

Available now at Office, priced £54.99.

Nike Air Huarache Light OG Pack

Designed in 1991, this chunky Nike running shoe still packs as much of a style punch today.

For spring 2015, the trainer has been updated in signature Nike colourways, producing a slightly retro finish, and comes complete with original performance features and detailing.

We’ve got our eyes on the red iteration for a pair that definitely demands attention.

Available now at END Clothing, priced £89.

Garbstore x Reebok Ventilator Supreme

Reebok’s ongoing collaboration with London-based Garbstore continues to delight sneaker heads everywhere, throwing up softer, more muted iterations of classic sporting shoes.

The latest joint release from the brands is an update of Reebok’s Ventilator model, with our favourite pair coming in a tonal grey and light pink colourway – perfect for the summer season.

Available at Garbstore and select stockists, with prices yet to be confirmed.

Saucony Scoops Pack G9 Shadow 6

Also serving up a selection fit for summer is American running shoe label Saucony, bringing us the ice cream-inspired Scoops Pack.

Combining a soft mint green suede upper with dark chocolate flecks and an illustrated inner sole, the G9 Shadow 6 look almost good enough to eat, but much better to wear.

Available now at Hanon, priced £89.

Adidas Originals Island Series Samoa OG

Inspired by sun-soaked beaches of faraway lands, this retro release from adidas Originals brings back a seventies classic – the ‘Island Series’.

Reissuing models from the original line-up, our personal favourite is the rich-toned Samoa OG, finished with a tan gum sole for an authentic throwback finish.

Available now at Size? and END Clothing, priced £75.

Puma R698 Splatter Pack

Following on from its winter Splatter Pack, Puma returns with a more colourful iteration for its summer instalment.

Coming in vibrant shades of blue, red and black, the new R698 designs combine lightweight materials and, of course, paint splatter effects to form a statement collection.

We’ve got our eyes on the blue pair for a slight colour pop.

Available later this month at ASOS, FootAsylum and Schuh, priced £65.

Dover Street Market x Nike Dunk Lux High

These trainers are the only pair you’ll need for the festival season, as they’re crafted from technical materials for full weatherproofing.

In collaboration with the NikeLabs initiative, Japanese concept store Dover Street Market has transformed the Dunk model into something both luxurious and functional, with a streamlined silhouette and statement tongue branding to boot.

Available at Dover Street Market locations from May 7.

Vans Sam Partaix Slip-On Pro

Inspired by the tattoos of skating rebel Sam Partaix, Vans’ latest drop will satisfy illustration lovers everywhere.

Bringing together fun cartoon-like sketches with Partaix’s favourite Vans silhouette – the Slip-On Pro – these trainers are a quirky as they are comfortable.

Pair with denim shorts and prepare to live in them for the duration of summer.

Available now at, priced £50.

Sneakersnstuff x Adidas Originals Brewery Pack Stan Smith

Stockholm-based Sneakersnstuff has given a selection of adidas Originals’ silhouettes a striking makeover this season, looking to the city’s 19th century brewing traditions for inspiration.

As a result, the palette incorporates varying shades of copper – before and after ageing – in addition to malt tones and textures.

Grab the ‘Copper Kettle’ Stan Smiths for a pair that is both bold and beautiful.

Available exclusively at Sneakersnstuff from May 23, priced £69.

ASICS x Concepts Gel Lyte III ‘Boston Tea Party’

Massachusetts-born Concepts has teamed up with ASICS to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its Gel Lyte III model, turning out this clearly US-inspired iteration of the shoe.

Nodding to Boston’s significance in the American Revolution, we’re treated to soft shades of red, white and blue for a large helping of patriotism, given a sporty twist with accents of orange and silver.

Now sold out – best bet is ebay resellers.
