Lacoste L!ve has released a unisex ‘Vintage Ads’ collection for summer 2015. Comprising everything from casual sweat tops to button-down shirts, each piece has been printed with classic Lacoste tennis ads from the 1970s, paying homage to what many consider the sport’s golden age. A palette of saturated hues adds to the retro aesthetic, with deep oranges nodding to clay courts and stylish suntans, while rich green backdrops reference both Lacoste’s signature branding and traditional tennis lawns. The capsule collection’s prints may be old school, but the designs feel extremely contemporary, with slimmed down silhouettes, slim cuts and clean lines keeping the structure of each piece as sharp as possible. Crisp white backdrops and colour-blocked collars also add strong modern contrasts, leaving the bold motifs to do the talking. Lacoste L!ve’s Vintage Ads collection is available online now, with prices starting at £65 for T-shirts, rising to £135 for sweatshirts.
