Spiewak Launches Spring/Summer 2015 Collection
Looking to its military roots, American outerwear brand Spiewak has drawn inspiration from the “primary needs of service men” for its spring/summer 2015 collection.
The 110-year-old label has vastly expanded its offering this season to include fleece tops, logo T-shirts and garment-dyed pieces, in addition to its usual line-up of coats and jackets.
However, the themed colour palette is the real focus of the new line, with rich greens representing the military environment and shelter, blues representing basics supplies such as water and food, dusty sands and khaki representing information and communication, and whites and soft beige expressing the health and medical side of military life.
New fabric options also nod to the label’s combat heritage, including ‘Squadron Flight Satin’, ‘Nocturnal Camouflage’ and ‘Waxed Flight Poplin’.
While the collection may be influenced by Spiewak’s military background, pieces in the range are more suited to modern day urban living, with lightweight parkas, flight jackets and cropped trousers making versatile additions to any contemporary wardrobe.
The Spiewak spring/summer 2015 collection is available from mid-March at Present London, with prices ranging £32 to £428.
