Though its coats are minimalist, Stutterheim loves to push the boat out when it comes to collaborations. Recent hook-ups have seen Volvo, Jay-Z and Glenfiddich takes turns at styling the brand’s wet-weather wear, and earlier this year it worked with British label Whistles on a super-lusty collection of coats that injected some colour into the brand’s otherwise muted designs.
Now, the Swedes have teamed up with lifestyle label Ouur on a collection that goes back to basics. Described as the “perfect union of Swedish luxury and Japanese inspired simplicity”, the refreshed Stockholm coat references water and earth, with panels of light grey and sand colour-blocked on a classic raincoat silhouette.
All Stutterheim’s usual rain-fighting features are present and correct, including welded seams, a rubberised cotton shell, silver buttons and a hood. Because the drowned rat look is never trending. And, should you fancy a dose of Howard and Hilda styling, there’s also a matching womenswear version, with the colours reversed. At least you’ll know which one is yours.
The Stutterheim x Ouur Stockholm coat is available now at Stutterheim.com, priced at £225
