Adidas Has ‘Winterised’ The Stan Smith

We’re massive fans of anything with ‘sock’ or ‘knit’ in the name, but with sludge, sleet, slush and other unpleasant words on the way, it’s probably time for a re-think.

Enter Adidas Originals, which has beefed up its popular Stan Smith sneaker with materials designed to cope with the grim weather and look good while doing so.

The upper of the low top model has been bolstered with hardwearing black or olive waxed leather, which will be begin to age and develop a unique texture with each wear.

A premium leather suede panel has been applied to the heel, while laser-engraved branding can be found on the heel and tongue (because we all know snow can’t deal with lasers.)

Finally, a gum sole unit not only fits in with the dark and earthy colors of the season, but provides the traction needed to keep your new kicks planted firmly on the floor.
