After a few days of sadness (for some), happiness (for others) and sarcasm (for everyone else), there’s finally a bit of European news we can all get on board with. The longstanding partnership between heritage sportswear brand Champion and Japanese retailer Beams has at last come to our shores for the first time. Doing their bit for international relations — and answering the calls of fans who have followed the partnership in Japan for more than twenty years — the debut European collection combines everything we love about the two names. The capsule offering of t-shirts, sweatshirts, joggers and jackets make use of discreet yet functional design elements such as concealed zip pockets and exposed zips to for adjustable fit. Having clearly read up on European weather, too, Champion’s Reverse Weave fabric has been reworked with a water-resistant coating. Our suggestion? Snap up a slice of this Japanese-American cool while the collaboration is still in stock (or at least while we’re still allowed.) The Champion Europe x Beams collection is available now at End Clothing, priced from £59.
