Charlie Casely-Hayford, the younger half of the father-son duo behind the Casely-Hayford menswear label, has long shown that two heads are better than one. When Charlie – along with with dad Joe – isn’t transforming the way British men dress (or popping into the FashionBeans office to explain how) he is lending his laid-back style to sporty superbrand Superga. Now the man who is a regular fixture on best dressed lists is taking his partnership with the Italian footwear firm from campaign face to designer with his own six-piece trainer collection. The debut range – a medley of suede and leather, flanked by Superga’s first ever breathable mesh – shows off the former stylist’s flair for pairing tailoring with sportswear. The dressed-down approach extends across both lace up and slip on styles in white, black and navy. “I’ve tried to create a trainer that is fresh and compliments the outfit of a stylish modern man who’s understated and doesn’t need to shout because he’s confident in himself,” he explains. The Charlie Casely-Hayford for Superga trainer collection is available at Superga, priced from ÂŁ99.
