Aside from expertly blending classic British style and Swedish minimalism, watchmaker Larsson & Jennings is probably best known for the uniform round face it uses across each of its stylish yet affordable timepieces.

Having led a new wave of understated watches, the Anglo-Scandi brand is ready to shake up the horological playing field once again, by launching its first new styles in two years and the first ever to feature square and rectangular faces.

Inspired by 19th century military watches, the Norse series is a fresh angular take on Larsson & Jennings’ minimal values. Available in four colour combinations, including a sleek black dial with matte black PVD plating, the watches feature British bovine leather straps, in keeping with the brand’s dedication to quality craftsmanship.

Under the hood, the watches are powered by a quartz Swiss Made Ronda movement, complete with date function and housed in a robust stainless steel case water-resistant up to 30 metres.

That’s one way to square a circle.

The Norse watch series will be available to buy online from Larsson & Jennings and in the brand’s London store from June 7, with prices starting at £225.
