When British premium retailer Whistles launched menswear in 2014, it did so with a collection that ticked off just about everything those Acne-esque Scandinavian brands were making us crave. Almost two years on, many of the names that came before Whistles are now following its lead on clean wardrobe staples. And with the brand’s first standalone menswear store up and running in London’s Shoreditch, it’s clear Whistles hasn’t taken its eye off classic, yet contemporary, fuss-free dressing. Case in point: the brand’s autumn/winter 2016 line, which modernises workwear with premium fabrics and luxury finishes. The cuts of trousers, coats and shirts remain slim but have been relaxed slightly, flanked by sleek tailoring, suede zip-up gilets and lightweight knits, all in steely shades of grey, indigo and sand. It’s solid menswear: no bells, all Whistles. Select pieces from the Whistles Men autumn/winter 2016 collection will begin dropping online and in stores from this week. Prices start from £30 for t-shirts to £395 for outerwear. whistlescamp9 whistlescamp whistlescamp10 whistlescamp11 whistlescamp6 whistleslookbook3 whistleslookbook4 whistleslookbook5 whistleslookbook9 whistleslookbook6 whistleslookbook10 whistleslookbook14 whistleslookbook7 whistleslookbook17 whistleslookbook1 whistleslookbook2 whistleslookbook16 whistleslookbook13 whistleslookbook15
