Get Nike’s Self-Lacing Sneakers

Spent the last 30 years dreaming of owning Marty McFly’s self-lacing Nike sneakers from Back to the Future Part II? Well we’re about to tell you how your wishes could finally become a reality.

All you need to do to get your hands on the game-changing kicks inspired by the 1989 film is enter a raffle… and move to the US. Or Canada. Your choice.

Today, Nike announced it has teamed up with the Michael J. Fox Foundation to help find a cure for Parkinson’s disease by releasing fewer than 100 pairs of the 2016 Nike Mags in a raffle.

The iconic sneakers that automatically lace and adjust to the wearer’s foot will be awarded to random winners who make a donation of $10 or more to the charity Nike+.

Though, just 89 pairs have been made in sizes 7, 9, 11 and 13, with “the majority” set aside for the states. And, while we’re happy Nike is helping out with this worthy cause, you don’t need Doc Brown to tell you that leaves slim pickings for anyone else around the world to get a pair.

Raffle tickets are available from now until 11 October via Nike+, and winners will be notified on the 17.
