Adidas Stan Smith Primeknit Wool
Primeknit Stan Smiths are nothing new but that doesn’t stop the latest update getting us excited. Like, really excited. (Really.)
Preparing your sneaker rotation for the months ahead (i.e. summer-slash-autumn-slash-winter-slash…), the popular Adidas model has gained a new wool upper construction. The fuzzy-look fashion sneakers also come with an off-white rubber sole unit for added contrast.
Available at Adidas, priced £94.95.
Asics For J.Crew Gel-Lyte III
Whoever’s pulling the strings at J.Crew is definitely a closet sneakerhead. Following on from collaborations with Nike and New Balance, the US retailer has now tapped Asics for a re-working of the Japanese brand’s most famous silhouette.
Inspired by the rustic scenes of the American west, the trusty steed that is the Gel-Lyte III now features suede uppers with a fleece lining in dark, earthy colour combinations. Yee-haw!
Available at J.Crew, priced £130.
Vans Sk8-Hi LX x Highs & Lows
When Australian lifestyle boutique Highs & Lows began repping the sneaker scene in Perth 10 years ago, it had to start a petition to be allowed to stock most major names. Fast forward a decade and the retailer now has brands (New Balance, Adidas, Reebok, and Lacoste to name a few) tripping over themselves to collaborate on styles.
The latest serves as a reminder why. Released as part of Vans’ 50th anniversary celebrations, the limited-edition Old Skool has been made using Italian leather with added YKK zippers and ballistic-nylon side panels.
Available from 17 September at Hanon, priced £109.
Adidas Busenitz x Undefeated
Military inspiration is always a welcome move in menswear, and the same goes when it comes to sneakers. Called up to give a new look to Adidas’s skate classic, the Busenitz, is West Coast-based streetwear retailer Undefeated.
Kitted out in sand coloured leather, suede and ripstop nylon, the kicks show off front-line flair with added camouflage detailing and gold accents.
Available from 17 September at Foot Patrol, priced £99.
Puma Suede x Staple
Pigeons might be less than affectionately known as ‘rats with wings’ in most cities, but that hasn’t stopped Staple’s signature colourway from becoming an icon in the sneaker world.
Teaming up with Puma once again, the New York-based streetwear store has re-imagined the Suede using a grey, black and white colour palette, with each pair’s heel dipped in the Pigeon Pink shade.
Available from 17 September at End, price tbc.
