The brand set up a French factory, taught a new generation of workers how to make luxe trainers by hand, then produced the R800. Which, in all its hand-stitched, leathery glory, disappeared from shelves with the pace of Arthur Ashe crossing a baseline. The SS16 collection stars similarly luxurious takes on some of Le Coq’s classics, with the LCS R and Court MIF silhouettes getting the hand-made, full-grain leather and nubuck treatment.
