A little hype goes a long way, but sequels have a tendency to tank. Hard. So when we heard Nike was getting ready to release a follow-up to the Roshe One, the brand’s most successful sneaker of the 21st century, we waited with bated breath.

We’re happy to report the result is more Godfather II than Batman & Robin (sorry, George).

The casual lifestyle shoe has gained the sports giant’s popular Flyknit upper, enough to make this an instant hit on its own. But there’s also a renewed focus on comfort and a range of updated colourways saddled on top of the full-length white phylon sole. Plus, no bat-nipples (again, sorry, George.)

The Nike Roshe Two Flyknit will be available at Nike from 25 August, price tbc.
