Normally we’re ones for advising a wardrobe clear out, ready to start the new season with fresh, clean staples. But if the last time you had a proper de-clutter was around the 1990s, we’d say don’t bother. You only have to look as far as Puma’s latest drop (or the return of the Polaroid for that matter) to see the decade is currently playing a major role in menswear.

The sporting brand’s SS16 range, exclusive to ASOS, is packed with everything you remember from the decade that gave us ripped jeans, New Balance trainers and windbreakers. Among the 33-pieces you’ll find classic logo sweatshirts, T-shirts in oversized cuts and tapered joggers, plus the odd pair of short shorts – and we mean short.

All the styles have been updated in a seasonal palette of earthy, muted mid-tones, comprising dusty pink, khaki, stone and camel, with added details like embossed logos and neck detailing.
