White, minimal ‘fashion sneakers’ are as ubiquitous as selvedge denim these days. So much so that it’s easy to forget there are other high-end, low-key alternatives on the market. Case in point: Puma’s latest tie-up with LA-based streetwear label Stampd. To continue their long-running partnership, the pair has re-worked three iconic Puma models with new dark, but no less lust-worthy, colourways. The stripped-back Puma States court shoe has been updated in manly-sounding black and asphalt Italian-made suede, with tonal laces and leather branding detail on the heel. A similar treatment has also been applied to the brand’s Blaze Of Glory NU and the Trinomic Sock NM trainers, with a mix of leather and neoprene on the all-black uppers. The result, shown below, may be one to convince you we’ve reached peak white sneaker.
