In recent seasons we’ve come to see that – darts players excused – style needn’t slip in the face of sport. Proving this once again, American footwear firm Saucony has hooked up with Offspring to produce a series of Olympics-inspired trainers. The Shadow 5000 Medal Pack takes the classic Saucony shape an updates it with three colorways representing gold, silver and bronze medals. In addition to a premium nubuck upper, each trainer also features a metallic toe panel and a medallion logo on the tongue. Despite Rio 2016 being just around the corner, the trainers are meant to signify the 1996 games in the US city of Atlanta, the year London-based Offspring opened its first store in Covent Garden. Specifics aside, whether you buy into first, second or third place, it’s still a guaranteed podium finish in the style stakes. The Saucony x Offspring Medal Pack is available at Offspring, priced ÂŁ100.
