We all know what staples look like. No, we’re not talking about stationery, we mean the menswear essentials designed to serve you through an average week. We know they’re usually in a line up of unassumingly cool t-shirts, effortless sweats and sturdy coats. What’s more, we know they’re usually black, white, grey and, at a push, blue. However, Topman has turned this idea on its head for the first update of its seasonless Premium line. The high street giant has taken both smart and casual year-round pieces including basics tees, cropped trousers and the coach jacket, plus bags, hats and belts, and re-cast them in first-class materials and a sleek netural colour palette. To mark the update, the store has partnered with 25-year-old filmmaker Dexter Navy, who regularly works with the likes of A$AP Rocky and counts none other than Kanye West as a fan, to shoot the collection.
